TEDx MUNICH

2018
Client: Zibert + Friends, TEDx Munich

DESCRIPTION:

TEDx is a program of independently organized local events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience, combining live speakers and TED Talks videos to spark discussion and connection.

I was asked to come up with an overall branding and a strategic key visual to deliver the motto of the 2018 edition "Faith, Hope.Love" and design all the communication collateral.

CHALLENGE:

Develop a key visual for the 2018 TEDx edition in Munich, taking place under the motto "Faith, hope and love".
Constraints:
• visually connecting and underlying all the talks;
• enabling speakers and organizer to exploit the key visual in building their own storytelling;
• straighforward and quickly adaptable on all the media planned for the event communication;
• interactive both online and offline;
• respecting given corporate identity guidelines of TED.

MY APPROACH:

Audience research.

Engage with the topic to generate concepts. Taking part in team activities (particularly when speakers present) to understand the right angle and general vibe.

Sketches and pitch of the different ideas.

Development of chosen key visual dealing with team, motion designer, printer, taking care of production management in order to ensure delivery on time.

Proactively checklisting assets, ensuring that all the needs are covered. Delivery on time.

RESULT:

A key visual which responded to all the requirements, simple yet bold and visible, playful and ideal for use in both digital and real-life interactions.

What story does the paper plane tell? Of an open and playful approach to existence, inviting us to have faith, hope and love — the things we need to surrender to life's unpredictable (air) currents.
